The Loss of a Camera

This entry mourns the loss of a comrade who has passed too soon. With me for two years, I am saddened to report that my dear... camera... has vanished. I was having a restful day in Darwin, sitting and reading. I had put my camera down on the bench beside me. After a while I got up and headed off towards the Darwin Botanical Garden, but had left the camera sitting on the bench. By the time I realized it and returned, my camera bag had wandered off on its own. Hahaha! Some brigand had seen it on the bench and had taken it. And despite it being Easter weekend, the person did not have an overwhelming sense of civic duty and hand it in somewhere. So a new camera became inevitable.
